Acrobatic Rock-n-Roll Irish Association is a member of Dance Sport Federation of Ireland. DFI is a member of World Rock-n-Roll Confederation from 2017.

ARIA is a official representative of kind of sport dance “Acrobatic rock-n-roll” in Ireland.  Professional acrobatic rock-n-roll sport club and dance based in Mallow, Co.Cork, Ireland with the departments in different counties established in 2015.

Dance club counted over 400 members for now and growing very fast. Members of the sport cub represent Ireland at all the international competitions.

 

 

 

What is acrobatic rock-n-roll?

Acrobatic rock-n-roll – is a professional kind of sport with the national and worldwide international competitions. Mostly acrobatic rock-n-roll should be danced in couples and teams (formations – couples and girls/ladies) but at the national level there are also solo and duo categories.

 

This type of dance developed in the 70’s in Europe and became very popular among young people around the world. To understand what acrobatic rock-n-roll is, imagine tricks from gymnastics and even circus art being added to the choreography and danced to a very fast rhythm. The composition consists of characteristic specific movements of the legs and acrobatic or semi-acrobatic elements.
