WDSF E-Card Registration Guide for Breaking Ireland

Hello Breakers,

My name is Sean Smullen, I am the WDSF administer for DFI/Breaking Ireland.
Please see below a step-by-step guide to getting your e-card for WDSF Breaking competitions and
championships. WDSF require all international athletes to hold an e-card.

I am happy to help you step by step, until you get your e-card. Here are my contact details:
dfioffice2019@gmail.com
Mobile: 087 9758837 (WhatsApp)

Firstly, here is a some background on what an e-card is

What is an E-card ?
It is an electronic identity card that will give you as an athlete, a unique ID number and barcode for
entering events.

What is on my E-card?
You will have your e-card as an app on your phone.
Which includes your photo, ID number, nationality, division, D.O.B, age group, license expiry,
federation details, link to contact your federation admin, and a barcode.

Why do I need an E-card?
To enter WDSF events you need a min number which is an ID number.
You will be able to use this e-card to enter events online, and when you arrive at the event your
barcode will be scanned.

What other advantages are there?

  • You won’t have to sign the Anti-Doping Form of Consent at the competition anymore.
  • Your registration and check-in procedures will be much quicker.
It won’ be necessary to have your passport or national ID-Card on you for identification at a
    competition.
  • Your name will always appear correctly in the results.
  • Your world ranking points will always be assigned as they should.
  • You can show that you are a WDSF Athlete!

OK let’s get started…

Step 1
You need to sign this form and take a photo of it on your phone, or you can scan the document and
upload it (but a photo on your phone is much easier).

Step 2
Scan or take a picture of a document which proves your identity. It has to show your name, your
picture, your nationality and your date of birth.
This can be a passport, a national identity card or another document which you can use to legally
identify yourself as per the above.

Step 3
Fill in this form – https://ecards.worlddancesport.org/Athlete/Apply
You will not need to include your MIN number, just skip that step as it will be your first time to
register and you do not have a MIN number yet.

To fill in the form:

  • For general information please select WDSF Urban (Breaking & HipHop).
  • Min number ignore, and leave it blank.
  • Insert personal details, under name and nickname etc.
  • You will need your DFI National License number to register. Then insert this in the National License Number.
  • Insert contact details, and choose a profile picture (there are some examples on the form of what an acceptable photo).
  • Send the application, and pay the fee. The fee is 25 CHF for an adult which is approximately 22 euro. For a youth it is 20CHF which is approximately 18 euro.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me, if you have ay questions.

Best wishes,
Sean
